                    Welcome all.

Many of you probably know me from flickr, school, a club, an art show, or one of any number of other places. If you do, you probably know that I am often folding paper. You have also probably been wondering what the folding was all about, and for this reason, I have set up this website.

For those of you who do not know me, I am a undergraduate at the Central Connecticut State University studying  french secondary education. I've been doing origami, or paperfolding, since I was a child, and it has always fascinated me the large variety of patterns, designs, and methods used within the community. About 5 years ago, after seeing many amazing works in an origami tessellations group, I decided to try out what was shown, a particular type of origami called origami tessellations (paperfolded patterns). I played around, then finally posted my works on flickr, a photosharing website. It was then that I started to talk with other folders online, and decided to go my first Origami USA convention in New York (2007).

Years later, and I am still folding away, trying to understand how the paper interacts with itself, trying to find new and nifty ways to find patterns, create layering and sculpture.

So I hope you enjoy this site. It is meant to spur geometric thinking and understanding within and out of the origami community. As such, check back here occasionally to see crease patterns, diagrams, and general thoughts about paperfolding as time allows me to post. If you would like to try to fold the origami pieces with crease patterns on this site and find that they are too difficult, a good starter book is Eric Gjerde's Origami Tessellations: Awe-Inspiring Designs. Happy folding!
