I've been cataloging a database of pleat intersections for the past few years. I believe that if we have a solid way to describe pleat intersections, we can use that as a way to more fully study and understand pleat patterns. Below are some of my favorite twists. Some are my design, but most are common enough that you'd find them just by playing around with the paper enough. If you use them in a design, let me know! I like to see what other people do with these twists. And if you spot a notation or diagram error, please let me know at brdparker@gmail.com

To understand the notation system, see the blog post here.
