Behind the Lilac Bush

So the story goes that a couple of my friends were having a conversation about art. Brian (a metal sculptor) says to Jim that he keeps his sculptures in front of his house behind a lilac bush to rust. Jim says that Behind the Lilac Bush is a great name for a show, and so they started to formulate a show concept. I was eventually brought in to do the representation of a Lilac Bush with Hartford artist Christa Whitten. I did the folding, and she painted it up. It ended up being the largest piece I've ever done (two 90-foot rolls of rice paper).
